Role Summary

  • Support the production (Extrusion and Reclaim)/ Warehouse/ Maintenance team in their day-to-day duties.
  • Ensure all aspects of Health and Safety, BRC and ISO are fully met.
  • Support Production Manager with stock control.
  • Support with warehouse duties and ancillary support on the extrusion equipment.
  • Support maintenance with the PPM schedule.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

  •          Assist the maintenance team in all aspects on site.
  •          Production/Process control
  •          To help maintain the daily production activities.
  •          Health and Safety
  •          Ensure factory cleanliness and manage a ‘clean as you go’ standard
  •          Perform support for order changes when required
  •          Helping support with basic problem solving
  •          Trained to use Silo blower and resin drier
  •          Stock control support for the production team.
  •          Cleaning duties during machine shut down (i.e., Die strip/breakdown)
  •          Emptying of large bins into external skips
  •          Movement of resin pallets into and out of production area
  •          Helping support the production team with the running of the in-house recycling
    machine.
  •          Supporting the warehouse staff by performing a number of duties i.e., loading and
    unloading of vehicles pertaining to the warehouse
  •          Maintain warehouse cleanliness using the floor scrubber, internal stock movements.
  •          Keeping some PPM’s up to date.
  •          Weekly fire alarm checks, fire marshal checks and emergency lighting checks

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

  • Must have Counterbalance Fork Truck licence
  • Must have previous experience in a manufacturing / production environment
  • Engineering background preferred
  • Prior hands-on experience with electrical work is required
  • Some understanding of the ancillary processes linked to Extrusion
  • Experience in the manufacture of PE
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Knowledge of Iso Quality systems and Hygiene Standards.
  • Self-motivated and able to work off their own initiative.
  • Time keeping/attendance.
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both efficiently and effectively alone, as well as part of a large and varied team.
  • Flexibility and excellent attention to detail is essential.
